Ceramics “Make & Take” -- it’s fun and easy for the whole family!

Open Studio ~ Make and Take Ceramics Painting: Sunday Jan 17th 1pm and “open to paint” until 3pm & Walk in-s welcome to TAKE AND MAKE from home too (no fee or registration required for walk-in/take out).

  • Purchase your studio seat for $6.99 here and then shop in the studio from hundreds of ceramics! Prices range from $4.99+ per ceramic.

  • Walk- ins are welcome too, but we can not guarantee availability without a prepaid online ticket.

  • Parents should assist children under 6 (This is not a drop off event).

How Does this event work?

  • Come in during the “open painting time window”. If you are with a larger group or a meticulous painter, try to come during the beginning so you have the full amount of time. More detailed pieces will take longer time to paint and everyone’s pace is different too!

  • Shop from the ceramic pieces after checking in at our front desk.

  • The Friendly Artists around the Studio will help you choose paints, brushes, and other necessary tools to complete your ceramic as well as guidance and support between guests.

  • Once your ceramic is complete an Art Studio Associate will assist you in drying and choosing a glaze or protective finish for your ceramic (optional and included in painting fee).

Please know that this is an unstructured event and not a “step by step” class. Guests are encouraged to “paint freely” and leave as they complete pieces.

What about bringing smaller children? Younger children (recommended for 6 and under) should be accompanied and assisted by adults at all times. Ceramic events are not drop off events. NO unsupervised children please.

Covid Safety:

  • Our Friendly Studio Team will be masked and we ask that you and your family are too! Masks are now mandatory in N.H. as of 11/20/2020

  • Additionally, we have the following safety protocols in place:

  • Hand washing at the sink immediately upon entering the Studio activity area.

  • Studio tables that have been sanitized and wrapped in a parchment paper

  • Disposable Aprons

  • Reduced building occupancy levels

  • Please see our Health/Safety tab for additional Covid safety protocols and updates

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q-Do you need to have any experience to paint ceramics?

A-No! Painting ceramics is easy, fun, and very enjoyable if you just sit back and let your imagination go free! Our friendly Art Studio Associates will be available to guide and encourage anyone who needs extra support.

Q-Some of the ceramics pieces shown look a little detailed and too advanced for my younger children, do you offer any simpler ceramics so my younger children could participate too?

A-Yes, our studio carries a large assortment of ceramics that includes many smaller, simpler designs for tiny hands and at a lower price. At every ceramic event we have additional ceramic options for our guests to purchase.

Q-Are the paints in the studio safe for children and people to use? What about fumes-are there fumes??

A-Our studio uses a non-toxic acrylic based medium. There is no odor or fumes and is safe for both children and adults to use responsibly in an artful way. Our acrylic paints ARE permanent, however, and so we recommend utilizing OUR complimentary studio aprons, which cover our younger guests quite generously.

Q-Does Hammar’s Art Studio offer group rates or Birthday parties for Ceramic Events?

A-Yes! Our studio offers both; group rates for larger parties and birthday party packages for children’s celebrations. We also offer them online!

Please reach out to our studio for more information at: info@HammarsArtStudio.com and an associate will be in touch with you.
